The writings in the "My Story" section are inspirational. I am guessing it is Pat who wrote this. Can you sign your name at the bottom of the page so we know its you?

Dear Patricia,

My name is Eva Taterova and I am from the Czech Republic. Few weeks ago I started to research the history of my family. I went through the old family documents, and also examined some materials available in national archives - very fascinating data indeed!

The reason why I contact you is that I found your profile on Geni. I think that there could be a link between our families thanks to Ottilia McCarroll (néé Hejna/Heyna/Hejnova - not sure how she spelled her family name in USA). Ottilia, born in November 1889 (Austria-Hungary, later Czechoslovakia, later Czech Republic), was the aunt of my grandpa Josef Hejna. The family lived in Voltyrov, a little village in southern Bohemia where they had a farm. When Ottilia grew up, she went to work in USA together with her older sister Josefa. They might live in Detroit, Michigan. During her stay in USA, Ottillia got married Mr. McCarroll (his first name might be John) and the couple had two sons Patrick and John/Joseph. In 1930s the family travelled to Czechoslovakia for a visit. My grandpa who was born in 1930 told me that his cousins were a bit older than him so I suppose Patrick and John/Joseph were born in 1920s. Unfortunatelly, the ties between the Czech and US part of the family were cut off during WW2 or during the Cold War so I have got no more information about Ottilia and her family since 1940s.

If some of these information seem to be in compliance with your family history, I would be very happy to exchange the data to complete the story. At the same time, I would love to know more about my American relatives.
If not I do apologize for sending a spam.

Thank you for your time.

All the best,

Eva
